New Staff Lawyer at FIELD
29 September, 2009 - Ross Clarke, a qualified Australian lawyer specialised in international human rights and transitional justice, has joined FIELD from September 2009. Ross' work experience ranges from corporate advice to legislative and policy analysis, trial monitoring, and participatory, community-based legal research.
He spent five years in Indonesia and East Timor and has recently been engaged with environmental governance and forestry issues including REDD, and community access to environmental justice in Aceh. In East Timor, he was involved in projects on human rights protection, access to justice, legal reform and transitional justice.
Other organisations Ross has worked for include UNDP, The International Centre for Transitional Justice, the International Development Law Organization, and the East Timorese Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Ross has completed an LLM at the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies focusing on Climate Change Law and Policy.
