Including forests in the new climate deal
Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in developing countries (REDD) has emerged as a hot topic in the international climate change negotiations. Including deforestation in the international climate change regime would address an important source of emissions. FIELD is helping developing countries with the tropical forest issues in the climate change negotiations, most recently in Bangkok.
