Become a FIELD intern

FIELD's internship programme hosts volunteer lawyers and students from all over the world. The programme provides its participants with practical training and insight into international legal issues relevant to environmental protection and sustainable development. It also gives valuable volunteer experience in a public interest organisation.

Adaptation & the Copenhagen Accord

The note focuses specifically on the treatment of adaptation in the political declaration known as the Copenhagen Accord – the most discussed outcome of the December 2009 Copenhagen climate change conference.

FIELD is providing support to REDD-plus negotiators from developing countries before all UN Copenhagen Climate Change Conference sessions. These documents are prepared on a neutral, non-partisan basis and are available in English, French and Spanish.

Lorna Püschel

Lorna
joined FIELD as an intern in January 2009. This was already Lorna's
second internship in London - before this, she had worked for six
months for the Royal Botanical Garden in Kew. There, Lorna worked on
researching the Convention on Biodiversity and Access and Benefit
Sharing (ABS) Agreements.

Rebecca Kramer

Rebecca Kramer, American, joined FIELD as an intern in January 2009.
With a background in Marine Biology and Law, Rebecca had been working
in environmental matters for many years, especially within the marine
and wildlife area.

William Francis

Will joined FIELD in September 2008 to gain experience in international environmental law, and to gain a greater understanding of working in an NGO environment.

"Field has been an incredible experience for me and I have worked on some extremely interesting projects."

Omojo Okala

Nigerian Okala Omojo Gloria joined FIELD as an intern in September 2008 to experience the realities of practicing international environmental law.

"I have always wanted to be involved in research on sustainable development and environmental issues." 

New experience

Trinidadian Lindsay Hosein, former intern of FIELD, has taken up new duties as Judicial Research Assistant at the Caribbean Court of Justice in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Lindsay joined FIELD in January 2008, after having completed Master's degree in Environmental Law at King's College London.
